The ability to prune and delete logged events and data is available with SmartServer 3.6 and higher.

With SmartServer 3.6 and higher, you can prune and delete events monitoring event logs and data logs from the database as described in the following sections:

Monitoring Events

You can prune and delete data logs monitoring events from the database as described in the following steps:

  1. Open the SmartServer CMS.

  2. Open the Devices widget, SEGMENT CONTROLLER tab. Click the Expand button ( Image Added ).

  3. Click the Action button () and select the Delete Logged DataEvents action.

    The Delete Logged Data Events view appears. The

    Total Data Event Log Size field specifies how much space is consumed by alarms and events data logs. When you specify the time period (Delete Logged Data Events Before field) for deleting data logsevents, the Data Event Log Bytes to be Deleted field will show how much space will be made available after the delete operation. The default date for the Delete Logged Data Events Before is 60 days prior to the current date.

  4. Use the calendar in the Delete Logged Data Events Before field to select the time period for deleting data logsevents.

    The Delete Logged Data Events view is updated with data event log bytes to be deleted.

  5. Click Delete DataEvents.

    The logged data events for the specified time period is are deleted and the Devices widget appears.

Data Logs

You can prune and delete alarm events data logs from the database as described in the following steps:

  1. Open the SmartServer CMS.

  2. Open the Devices widget, SEGMENT CONTROLLER tab.

  3. Click the Action button () and select the Delete Logged EventsData action.

    The Delete Logged Events Data view appears. The
