Accessing the SmartConnect Configuration Page

SmartConnect is available with SmartServer 4.2 and higher.

You can access the SmartConnect Configuration page to set up and manage your SmartConnect as described in the following sections:

Accessing the SmartConnect Configuration Page

To access the SmartConnect Configuration page, perform the following steps:

  1. Connect to your SmartConnect using a web browser by entering the IP address or the hostname in the URL as follows:

    https://<IP address> or <hostname>

    Example: IP address

    https://192.168.4.146

    Example: hostname with a local DNS server

    https://smartserver-hsbcw69

    Example: hostname without a local DNS server; using mDNS

     

    The login page appears prompting you to enter your user name and password.

  2. Enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields. Login credentials for the SmartConnect Configuration page are the same as your Raspberry Pi login credentials. Login credentials can be configured in Accounts settings.

  3. Click Log in.

    The SmartConnect Configuration page appears.


    The SmartConnect Configuration page is described in the section that follows.

Using the SmartConnect Configuration Page

The SmartConnect Configuration page displays system information and provides tabs at the top of the page for setting up device interfaces including LON (LON is supported for SmartConnect 4.3 and higher, with the exception of LON PL), BACnet, OPC UA (Beta), ModbusRS-485, EnOcean, and LoRaWAN. It also provides tabs for opening the SmartConnect CMS and accessing help.

The left-side Configuration tabs provide the system management operations listed below. SmartConnect configuration is mainly accomplished using the SmartServer IoT tab. The other tabs are used to configure host settings that are outside the scope of SmartConnect.

  • SmartServer IoT – provides tabs across the top of the Configuration page for SmartConnect configuration: System, LONBACnet, OPC UA, Modbus, RS-485, EnOcean, LoRaWAN, CMS, and Help

  • Networking – provides SmartConnect network configuration

  • Accounts – provides SmartConnect user account configuration

  • Services

  • Applications

  •  Software/Updates

  • Terminal – opens a SmartConnect terminal window connection
