Importing SmartServer 4.2 Update 1 and Prior Settings and/or Databases into SmartServer 4.4 or Higher
The CMS Import/Export button is available with SmartServer 3.5 and higher. For SmartServer 2.7 Update 1 and higher and prior to 3.5, the CMS Import/Export feature is available with the CMS Settings button.
You can export SmartServer settings and/or databases using the SmartServer CMS Import/Export () button. A database export backs up the databases in the SmartServer Manager and the SmartServer platform and contain data logs and historical event information. A settings export backs up all of the system configurations and do not retain logged data and events. Backup files can also be downloaded to your PC.
You can import settings across SmartServer releases; however, some settings may not be migrated. Databases can also be imported across SmartServer releases. However, if you exported SmartServer settings and/or databases from a SmartServer 4.2 Update 1 and prior system and want to import the file(s) onto a SmartServer 4.4 or higher system, then follow one of the methods described in this section. These methods accommodate the migration of Karaf OSGi runtime environment for SmartServer 4.2 Update 1 and prior to Spring Framework for SmartServer 4.4 and higher.
This section consists of the following:
