Changing the Location Manually and Setting the Timezone

You can set the SmartServer's location by location by assigning a context, or by manually setting the location. If  If you set or change the SmartServer's location by assigning a context or by manually setting the location, then the SmartServer's timezone may also be changed accordingly. Changing the SmartServer's timezone does not affect the SmartServer's location.

To manually change the SmartServer's location, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the SmartServer CMS.

  2. Open the Devices widget, SEGMENT CONTROLLER tab.

  3. Click the SmartServer's Action button (

    The SmartServer settings view appears.

    This view allows you to set or edit the following SmartServer fields:

    1. Name – (required) name of the SmartServer

    2. Context – (optional) context that the SmartServer is assigned to

    3. Latitude / Longitude (optional) – latitude / longitude location of the SmartServer

    4. Tags – (optional) semicolon-separated set of <key>=<value> pairs

    5. Description – (optiona) description 

    6. Timezone – (required) timezone of the SmartServer

  2. Set the SmartServer location in one of the following ways:

    1. Assign or change the context.

    2. Set the latitude / longitude in the appropriate fields.

    3. Click the Set Location button (

  1. To set the timezone, enter the region in the provided field and then select the timezone from the provided list.

Changing the Date, Time, and Timezone

You can set the SmartServer CMS date, time, and timezone to use the network time server or the BACnet time server as its source. You can also manually set the date, time, and timezone. 

Note

If you set or change the SmartServer's location by assigning a context or by manually setting the location, then the SmartServer's timezone may also be changed accordingly. Changing the SmartServer's timezone does not affect the SmartServer's location. 

To change the SmartServer date, time, and timezone, perform the following steps:

Changing the Date, Time, and Timezone for a SmartServer

You can change the date, time, and timezone for a particular SmartServer from the Devices widget by following the steps below.  The The procedure that follows shows a Remote CMS SmartSupervisor environment.
