EnOcean Protocol

EnOcean Protocol

EnOcean Protocol is a highly optimized radio protocol for the communication between energy-constrained devices (such as energy-harvesting sensors or switches) and the corresponding infrastructure (such as gateways or actuators).

EnOcean protocol uses the following physical layer protocols:

  • ERP1
Standardized as ISO 14543-3-10, used in Europe

  • ERP2
Standardized as ISO 14543-3-11, used in the rest of the world

The communication model and the data representation is standardized by EnOcean Alliance.
