Telegram fields

The ERP1 broadcast telegram contains the following fields:

  • Preamble
    This field is used to indicate the start of the transmission and allows the receiver to determine the values for high and low amplitudes and adjust the AGC (automatic gain control) as needed.

  • SOF
    This field indicates the Start of Frame which allows the receiver to determine the start of the bit stream

  • R-ORG
    This field specifies the EEP or SIGNAL type used by this telegram

  • DATA
    This field contains the telegram payload

  • SENDER EURID
    This field specifies the address of the sender

  • STATUS
    This field specifies transmission properties such as the repeater hop count

  • HASH
    This field is used to verify the integrity of the telegram using either a CRC or a Checksum algorithm

  • EOF
    This field indicates the End of Frame which allows the receiver to determine the end of the bit stream
