KB1472 - Echelon License Wizard Reports Offline Even Though PC has Internet Access

 Problem

My PC or VM has internet access but Echelon License Wizard reports that the PC is offline

 Solution

This issue happened a lot if you used the initial version of IzoT CT (OpenLNS CT 4.0) or IzoT Net Server (OpenLNS 4.0) due to to the PC or VM time being off by more than 5 minutes with the License Server.

The initial version of Echelon License Wizazrd 1.00.095 or earlier had this issue. The Echelon License Wizard gets installed automatically with IzoT CT or IzoT Net Server. Newer version of these software also have newer versions of the Echelon License Wizard.

If using IzoT CT 4.0 - 4.1 or IzoT Net Server 4.0 - 4.1 then do one of the following:

  1. Upgrade IzoT CT or IzoT Net Server to 4.2+ as a newer version of the Echelon License Wizard gets installed

  2. Upgrade only the Echelon License Wizard to 1.00.105.
