Open the SmartConnect CMS

SmartConnect is available with SmartServer 4.2 and higher.

You can open the SmartConnect CMS using a web browser or using the SmartConnect Configuration page. This section describes how to open the SmartConnect CMS using these methods and consists of the following:

Opening the CMS Using the Web Browser

To open the SmartConnect CMS using a web browser, perform the following steps:

  1. Open a web browser.

  2. Enter the following in the URL:

    https://<IP address>/cms or <hostname>/cms

    Example: IP address

    /https://192.168.4.146/cms/

    Example: hostname

    https://smartserver-hsbcw69/cms

    The CMS login page appears.

  3. Enter your apollo login credentials. For SmartServer 4.4 and higher, the default CMS username and password is apolloapollo. For SmartServer 4.3. Update 1 and prior, login credentials are username apollo and the password that is set in the smartserver.ini configuration file

  4. Click LOGIN.

    The SmartConnect CMS appears. 

    If a dialog box appears prompting you to change your password, then go to Changing the SmartConnect User Passwords.

Opening the CMS Using the Configuration Page

To open the SmartConnect CMS using the Configuration page, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the SmartConnect Configuration page.

    The SmartConnect Configuration page appears. The view that appears depends on your cache data.

     

  2. Click the CMS tab.


    The CMS login page appears.

     

  3. Enter your apollo login credentials. Login credentials are username apollo and the password that is set in the smartserver.ini configuration file.

     

  4. Click LOGIN.

    The SmartConnect CMS appears. 

    If a dialog box appears prompting you to change your password, then go to Changing the SmartConnect User Passwords.
