The table below lists the CMS widgets and provides links for tasks that are associated with these widgets. In some cases (e.g., power line networks), when you first access the SmartServer CMS, the Datapoints widget poll rate will need to be changed.

  • Update Visible Datapoints button

    • To improve performance:
      Change the Datapoints widget poll rate (which defaults to 30 seconds) immediately after accessing the SmartServer CMS. To disable polling, set the poll rate to 0.

      Save the poll rate value by clicking anywhere on the Datapoints widget.

      For power line networks, set the poll rate to a larger number (i.e.,120 seconds or 0 to disable polling).

Configure Your SmartServer – for SMTP, see Configuring SMTP Settings

(Optional) Setting Datapoint Names – for IAP. The IAP feature is available with SmartServer 3.2 Update 2 and higher. Prior to SmartServer 4.2, IAP was called IAP Settings. 

Configure Warning Limits – The Warning Limits feature is available with SmartServer 3.5 and higher. Prior to SmartServer 4.2, Warning Limits was called Warning Limits Settings.

Configuring Security (Authentication Method) – The Security feature is available with SmartServer 4.0 and higher. Prior to SmartServer 4.2, Security was called Authentication Method.

Configuring MQTT Settings – The MQTT feature is available with SmartServer 4.0 and higher. Prior to SmartServer 4.2, MQTT was called MQTT Settings.

Configuring HTTP Proxy – The HTTP Proxy feature is available with SmartServer 4.0 and higher.
